Mr Peter Norton (CLF) Introducing Mr Xavier Destree
On Tuesday 2nd February, CLF hosted Mr Xavier Destree, the worldwide leading design engineer on CLF Seamless Concrete Floors, at our offices in Johannesburg North.
A number of prominent Engineering professionals attending the event, to find out more about:
- Zero Shrink Concrete,
- Pouring Seamless floors up to 6,000m2 at 130mm thick, in one pour
- Fibre Reinforced Suspended Slabs.
Mr Destree presented an interesting and scientific explanation as to the progression of the patented technology for Seamless floors. The patented slab system developed by Primekss, has been in use since 2007, and is considered by owners and tenants as the ultimate generation of concrete flooring slabs. To date they have placed more than 10 million square meters since 1997.
The apparent benefits of such floors are that of a much longer full service life expectancy, and include:
- No Joints up to 6 000m2
- Flatter and Smoother Floors
- Forklift Efficiency
- Reduced Maintenance Costs
- No Curling
- Durable and Longer lasting
- High Impact Strength
- 50% thinner = lower carbon emissions
- Pour > 5 000m2 in 24 hours
