Overlays

Give Existing Floors a New Lease on Life
As with each project and site, it is important to understand the uniqueness of a floor.
In some cases the costs and risks associated with the breakout and installation of a new floor, are not always in the best interests of a particular floor.
Through consultation with the relevant client and engineer expert teams, CLF is able to offer an overlay on a exisiting floor. Once the design has been approved, it becomes a project whereby the existing floor is prepared (this is dependant on the specifics of the existing floor and what the requirements are of the new floor) before set up.
Following the basic principles of shuttering and waterproofing, the relevant reinforcing is determined and placed, and the new concrete overlay installed by the CLF team. The finishing and curing of the overlay is then done, with necessary saw-cuts and joint sealing at the appropriate times.
